Q: What is Paw Park Pulse?
A: Paw Park Pulse helps dog owners discover and explore dog parks in their area. You can find parks on a map, check in with friends, share reviews, and suggest park information—all built around a welcoming community.
Q: What are the system requirements?
A: iOS 14.0 or later on iPhone or iPad. The app works best with location services enabled.
Q: Do I need an account?
A: You can browse parks without an account, but to check in, leave reviews, or save favorites, you'll need to sign up using your Apple ID or email.
Q: How do I sign up?
A: Open the app, tap the Account tab, and follow the sign-up prompts. You can use Apple Sign In for quick signup.
Q: How do I find dog parks near me?
A: Open the app and allow location access. The map will automatically show dog parks near your current location. You can tap any park for details.
Q: What does "Check In" mean?
A: Checking in tells the community you're at a park right now. Other users can see who's checked in, helping you connect with fellow dog owners and know if a park is busy.
Q: How do I add a new dog park?
A: If a park is missing, open the app's menu and tap "Suggest a Park." Fill in the details and submit. The park may not show up right away—we have a semi-autonomous system in place that requires multiple users to suggest the same additions/changes for them to take effect.
Q: Can I suggest changes to a park?
A: Yes! On any park's detail page, tap "Suggest a Change" to report updates like new amenities, corrected hours, or closed facilities.
Q: Can I upload photos?
A: Yes! You can now upload photos when writing reviews for parks and dog-friendly locations. You can also upload photos of your dogs to their profiles.
Q: Can I see my dog's profile in the app?
A: Yes. When you sign up, you can optionally add your dog's name, breed, and a note. You can now also share your dog's profile with family and friends via QR code or share code.
Q: How do I write a review?
A: To leave a review, tap on any park or dog-friendly location on the map to view its details. Tap the "Write Review" button, select a star rating (1-5 stars), add your comments, and optionally attach photos. Your review will be visible to other users and help the community.
Q: How do I find dog-friendly places?
A: Dog-friendly places (pet stores, groomers, vets, restaurants, cafes, and hotels) appear on the map alongside parks. You can tap any location for details. Note: This is a Premium feature available with Single or Family subscriptions.
Q: How do I save favorites?
A: To save a park or location as a favorite, tap the heart button on its detail page. You can access all your saved favorites quickly from the home screen for easy planning and quick visits.
Q: How do I share my dog's profile?
A: Go to your dog's profile in the app and tap "Share Profile." You can share via QR code (scan your friends code with your camera) or via a share code that they can send through text or email. This makes it easy to connect with family and friends!
Q: What's included in the Paw Park Pulse subscription?
A: We offer two tiers:

Q: How do I manage my subscription?
A: Subscriptions are managed through Apple's App Store. In the app, go to Account > Manage Subscription, or adjust it in your device Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions.
Q: Can I cancel anytime?
A: Yes. You can cancel your subscription at any time via the App Store. It will end at your next billing date.
Q: Is there a free trial?
A: Check the subscription section in the app for current trial offers.
Q: What payment methods do you accept?
A: Payments are processed through Apple. We accept any payment method you've added to your Apple ID.
Q: Is my location data safe?
A: Yes. Your location is used only to show nearby parks and is never sold to advertisers or third parties. You can disable location in your device settings anytime, though core map features may be limited.
Q: What happens if I delete my account?
A: Your personal profile data, photos, and subscription records are deleted within 24 hours. Park suggestions and reviews you submitted are anonymized. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Q: Who can see my check-ins?
A: Your check-ins are visible to other app users at that park, but we do not share this data with third parties.
ℹ️ If location still doesn't work, some parks may not be visible, but you can still search by name.
